Steven D. Seiler – Partner
Steven D. Seiler practices in the areas of commercial and residential real estate law (including formation of entities and preparation of private placements), general corporate law, formation of corporations and Limited Liability Companies, licensing, technology, corporate planning and start-ups, intellectual property, internet law, employment, and director and officer representation.
Mr. Seiler has over 35 years of legal experience. He held the position of Assistant District Attorney at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office for eight years, actively participating in office wide management decisions and courtroom prosecutions. Steve has tried over sixty jury trials with nearly a one hundred percent conviction rate. In addition, he has successfully prosecuted in excess of two hundred court trials.
Mr. Seiler began his legal career at Coopers & Lybrand Tax Department. During this period, he gained expertise in the areas of corporate and tax law. He participated in business planning, estate planning (including drafting trusts and wills), and formulating tax opinions for corporate and individual tax returns. While at Coopers & Lybrand, he co-authored their book on corporate planning and tax implications.

Mr. Seiler has focused a majority of his time working with various commercial real estate developers and owners including Terranomics and Metrovation, general brick and mortar companies of various sizes, high technology start-up companies including current and former publicly traded companies.
Mr. Seiler’s involvement with these companies centers around business formations, business planning, corporate strategy, licensing contracts, distribution agreements, website compliance, employment issues, intellectual property agreements, corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, and various contractual work. Steve currently represents several companies that are involved in the sports (including professional athletes) and wine industry. Throughout his career Steve has also represented various clients and has overseen a multitude of litigation cases.
